Who I am

 

I am someone who immigrated to the US from what was at the time East Germany risking my life and the lives of my parents to escape an oppressive regime that would kill or imprison individuals seeking freedom in West Germany or elsewhere. Without getting into specific details, our escape involved violence and death. It also involved the shuttling of my parents and myself from safe house to safe house throughout Europe until we were ultimately transferred to the US. As an aside one of the organizations representatives that pursued us for the purpose of recapture was a mid level functionary in the KGB stationed in East Germany known as Putin, the current leader of Russia.

 

Why I do this

 

I am starting this blog because I can no longer be silent when the Nation that we sacrificed to live in is being culturally divided, attacked, divided and marginalized by our Nation's own leadership. I am starting this Blog because I think that there are a lot of decent Americans that are not happy with the direction of our nation and wish to speak out. I am creating this blog because I have a lot to say about a lot of stuff.

What I can do for you

 

What I hope to  accomplish with this Blog is to raise the consciousness of others about what makes us as individuals, as groups and as a Nation tick. I can create a forum for others to express their opinions, (hopefully without vitriol), about their  frustrations, their hopes,  their dreams and their accomplishments. My objective is to enable discourse without retribution, without animosity and without regret.
